If you reverse or flip the lid upside down onto the container, it loses its child resistant function and becomes a simple screw top lid. This non-child resistant side can be useful for the elderly or handicap who may have difficulty opening a child resistant container. This dual function lid is great for dispensary use and for patients with weak or handicapped hands.
